Valentine's Day Vs Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (Part 2)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

"Now has come to you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that you should perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful. But if they turn away, say, "Allah suffices me: there is no god but He: on Him is my trust, He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme!"

Surah At-Taubah, (9:128-129)

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

This is a continuation of the previous article on Valentine's Day. As we are in the month of Rabi'ul awwal, so it is the month of Prophet Muhammad's birthday SAW. The following will be about him insya Allah.

1. I'd like to share this wonderful website that features stories of our beloved Prophet SAW in a very interactive and creative way which I thought maybe you want to go visit and have a look. Below is a snap shot of the website mentioned and to visit, please click here.

(Jazakallah Bro Kareem for sharing this) ;-)
2. Before I move on, let us read some of the comments people made about our beloved Prophet SAW.

"He was the only man in history who was supremely successfull on both the religious and secular level."

-Michael H. Hart, The 100: A Ranking of The Most Influential Persons in History-

"It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught and how he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher."

-Annie Besant, The Life and Teachings of Muhammad, Madras 1932, page 4-

"By a fortune absolutely unique to history, Mohammed is a threefold founder of a nation, of an empire, and of a religion."

-Rev. R. Bosworth-Smith in "Mohammed and Mohammedanism 1946-

3. In this short post, it is important to mention, that we praise Allah for His great bounties and His power over all mankind that He created the best of men, our Prophet Muhammad SAW. While we admire Prophet Muhammad SAW, he himself has told us to always place our dependance upon Allah alone and worship none other but Him. He told us that he is only a messenger and because of that, we always have to live with his messages that Allah is one and only, even after the Prophet is no longer around us.

4. Lastly, let me provide some descriptions about Prophet Muhammad SAW as referred from a book by Ali Akbar entitled Israel and The Prophecies of Al-Quran.

a) It was said of him that he is more modest than a virgin behind a curtain.
b) When asked to curse comeone he replied, "I have not been sent to curse, but as a mercy to mankind."
c) He was very fond of children; he would stop them in the streets and pat their little heads.
d) He would say that he was more like Adam than other men, while in morals and disposition he resembled his father, Abraham.
e) He was the most faithful protector of those protected, the sweetest and most agreeable in conversation. Those who saw him were suddenly filled with reverence: those who came in contact with him loved him; those who described him would say, "I have never seen his like." He was of great taciturnity, but when he spoke it was with emphasis and deliberation, and no one could ever forget what he said.

5. Several physical descriptions below:

a) His height was neither too tall nor too short.
b) His complexion was white, without being wheat-colored or too white but the color was pure white, free from any mixture of yellow, red or any other color.
c) His hair was curly and did not hang straight down; yet it was not bushy.
d) His face was neither long nor circular, but slightly rounded. The eyes of him were large and open, deep and dark, with a tint of redness. His nose sloped downward in just proportion and his teeth were a little interspaced and shining. His lips were beautiful and fascinating. His cheeks were not soft, but firm.
e) His face was more handsome than that of others; he who described his face always compared it with the full moon.

6. IMPORTANT: The above descriptions are quoted from authenticated books of Hadiths such as Sahih of Bukhari and Sahih of Muslim. I have to strictly mention here that Islamic scholars have made it clear that we are prohibited from depicting the image of Prophet Muhammad SAW as in pictures or drawings. So, the above descriptions may at most, make us feel closer to our beloved Prophet that we know him better and we love him more for that matter insya Allah.

With little knowledge that I know, at least one useful importance of these descriptions is that when people claim to see Prophet Muhammad SAW in their dreams, there is reference to rely on and everyone knows that the satans can not disguise themselves as Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Through some reading, with His permission, I also found out that the biggest fear for this prohibition of images of Prophet Muhammad SAW is that people may go for idolatry- which is needless to say, a form of syirk, big sin in Islam. That is why again, we admire Prophet Muhammad SAW, we love him and we pray for him for his unparalled love towards us, for his sacrifice and struggle bringing the message of Islam and countless many other but we do not worship him like the Christians do towards Jesus AS, whom they regard as the son of God. May Allah protect us from syirk insya Allah.

7. Let us end by praying to Allah may He bless our beloved Prophet SAW and grant him the best place in Paradise insya Allah.

Wallahua'lam wassalamualaikum wbt.

"Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet: O you that believe! Send your blessings on him, and salute him with all respect."

Surah Al-Ahzab, (33:56)

Question on Valentine's Day: A response

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

This post is an answer to one response I collected towards my article about Valentine's Day in the immediate previous post. (if you haven't read it, you may do so here)

Before I continue, let me point out here that it is important before we discuss about anything, we seek His protection and seek knowledge and try to avoid wrong justification which is made merely based upon what we think and we feel, instead of being based on sufficient reference and research.

It is also important to note that in any discussion, it is not to find whom to blame or who is wrong but to reach a valid academic concession that insya Allah will satisfy those who appreciate a true culture of knowledge and wisdom. Therefore, one has to be open-minded and be sincere at looking for truth.

As one cute saying goes, "Our mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it is open." ;-)

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

1. It is a responsibility of the author to address as many people as possible when he writes an article. I listed down three reasons (though certainly there are more) for the prohibition of Valentine's Day to Muslims and the third one is basically about the fact that it predisposes to intimate relationship (otherwise known as sex) between unmarried couples- this seems incomplete (not addressing all) because it means this third reason is only directed to the unmarried couples.

2. So the question that arises here is very straight forward; How about the married couples? They are married so of course they can celebrate Valentine's Day with their spouse and in Islam, they are allowed for intimate relationship because well, they are married!

3. First, it is true about the intimate relationship but a big NO NO for celebrating Valentine's Day.

4. Why? I'd like to present an analogy to explain the above better. Say, if today our subject of discussion is whether we can climb up one's coconut tree and steal their coconuts. Then I write an article saying that no, that is forbidden and I list out three reasons as well.

5. First, no because it is sinful to take away someone's property (in this case coconuts) without their permission. Second, because when it happens, it triggers a fight between those involved and therefore badly affects their neighbourhood relationship. Third, because it is dangerous if you climb up a tree and may be caught stealing on the spot.

6. Let's look at the third reason and create this argument. What about a person who is expert at climbing trees? It should no longer be dangerous because well, he's an expert!

7. Try to compare and I hope by then you understand what I mean. Valentine's Day is not primarily prohibited because it leads to sex outside marriage (because you can always argue that married couples can have sex though) but stronger basis of prohibition are already pointed out as reason number 1 and 2, so no matter who we are, whether we are married or not, we Muslims should not  celebrate Valentine's Day.

8. Similarly, even if you are an expert and won't fall when you climb up a tree, that has not nullified the fact that stealing coconuts is sinful in the first place.

9. Let me further break it down for you so please read carefully. First, it does not sound possible or sensible to allow only the married to celebrate Valentine's Day because the point of the matter is that, how do you check only married couple celebrate it? I mean, there should be no Valentine's Day at all. Because if there is, there will be celebration. And when there's celebration, there's special offer of cheaper night over in hotels for example, and do you think they care if you are married or you aren't?

10. Cutting this short, Valentine's Day exists because there are non-Muslims whom are living peacefully with us and they celebrate it. We as Muslims are tolerant but it is a shame if we always find excuses to do what others do, especially when the doings are not Islamic.

11. We have to open our mind that again Islam allows love to be spread but through appropriate manners. What about making a surprise during spouse's birthday or during your anniversary instead of during Valentine's Day? Better still, how about loving him or her each day and doing so with an intention to please Allah. And how about praying to Allah that you'll be with your spouse one day in the Paradise eternally?

12. Let me just add this last piece of thought. In an extension to what we have actually discussed above, it is not entirely true to say that married couples are not predisposed to illegal sexual relationship. Why? Because when a man marries a woman, he marries that woman, not all women.

13. What that means is that even married couples can betray their partners and go for those they are not married with. Point being is that again, there are always loopholes for people to commit sins because we have to remember, we have to deal with many unseen enemies in this world and they are the outcast satans. Only those with knowledge and ability to see the unseen (as in sins and satan's whisper) will survive steadfastly with  faith in Allah insya Allah.

14. Having said the above, I hope I have at least covered or answered 2 things;

a) that Valentine's Day is prohibited to all Muslims, married and unmarried individuals alike
b) my previous article is not directed to one particular group but all Muslims in general

Wallahua'lam. Wassalamualaikum w.b.t

Valentine's Day Vs Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (Part 1)

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good)."
Surah Ali 'Imran, (3:85)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Introduction

Every year, February 14 marks another awaited day especially by couples around the world to celebrate love, though ironically many of them are not married- which brings a question as to whether unmarried love brings with it responsibility in the form of legal agreement to play roles attributed to each other (as husband and wife and later as father and mother). Therefore, love without marriage is always like a game or a trial and error method in search for a true life partner and most of the time there's no love involved at all, no not love seriously- so please go back and learn your English again, without marriage, it deserves a better word- LUST!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

1. Insya Allah, as the title goes, I will elaborate on both Valentine's Day and Maulidur Rasul (The Birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW) as the former takes place on February 14 every year and the latter co-incidentally occurs the day after it this year, on February 15.

2. I am not to compare between both but it's here to note that this time around, there will be a series of articles whereby in correct sequence, will be about Valentine's Day first and Prophet's Birthday in another article. This is therefore put under part one.

3. Valentine's Day is otherwise known as The Festival of Love and is claimed to be a day when people around the world celebrate and appreciate love. It's usual that during this day, people will buy presents and exchange it with their beloved ones, and it may not be necessarily practised by 2 lovers, because some people exchange gifts with their friends instead, as a symbol of friendship love, so-called another form of love.

4. And interestingly, it's not a surprise to hear that JAKIM, The Malaysian Islamic Development Department has now launched an Anti-Valentine's Day campaign, not to forget many circulating articles, flyers etc. that can be found either printed, or more abundant of course in the electronic world, all of which are against this somewhat not uncommon festival in Malaysia..

5. Why does Islam forbid us to celebrate Valentine's Day in the first place? Insya Allah, I will divide my answer into three parts in response to that question- which you can find below.

First, because by history, this celebration is against our principle in Islam and only ignorance permits many misleading practices contained within the festival. Secondly, it is forbidden because it is not the way Islam teaches us to live. Thirdly, because the essence of celebrating Valentine's Day is entirely destructive to the society.

6. Before I continue, it is essential to make a point here that Islam is a religion that always promotes love and good relationship with not only God but also mankind. A very often used phrase is hablun minallah wa hablun minan nas, Arabic words for relationship with God and relationship with mankind. The difference is that in Islam we don't need one special day to love because we can love and be loved all year round. Also, Islam admonishes us to channel our love in an appropriate means, such as through marriage and not through random pick or lottery as committed in the past during Valentine's Day.

Rasulullah once narrated that, "None of you truly believes (in Allah and His religion) until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Historical records suggest that this festival is against Islam by principle and by practices.

7. Now, the problem with Valentine's Day begins right through the origin itself. There are several versions with regard to its origin of course, but none of those has anything to do with Islamic origin, nor Islamic source whatsoever. This means that Valentine's day (which from now onwards will be denoted as V-Day for simplicity's sake) is a construct of men's weak mind, and therefore it has a high tendency to be influenced by the evil whisper of the Satan whom never gives up to lead us astray.

"(Iblis) said: Then, by Your Power, I will put them all in the wrong." Surah Sod, (38:82)

8. History has recorded that the V-Day was celebrated by the Pagan Romans in honor of their goddess of women and marriage, Februata Juno and Roman god of nature, called Pan. Please take note that pagan in this context refers to polytheism (many gods), and not without religion. And they honored these gods by allowing men to randomly choose their girl partners whom placed their names in an urn before the names were drawn by men. They then became sexual partners for either a day, a year or even forever.

9. Clearly, this is an act of syirk because you create a partner to Allah by honoring other gods. We know full well that syirk is a sin that will not be forgiven and Allah will hurl those who commit syirk to Hell fire. Also, it is an act of adultery (zina) because there is sex outside marriage. Hence by principle and by practice, V-Day is certainly against Islam and therefore should be avoided.

10. Let me also mention here that the word Valentine is actually to commemorate a Christian saint (whose name was Valentine) who was claimed to be murdered by the Roman emperor by the name Claudius, for conducting secret marriages between soldiers. What has death of a Christian saint to do with us Muslims?

11. Also, there was a practice of smearing their bodies with blood of sacrificial goats and dogs which they believed will improve fertility. Any modern and scientific explanation nowadays will deny that, and what's left there is to take it as a practice of religious ritual which is undoubtedly therefore an act of syirk.

Valentine's Day is not our way.

"Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with you unless you follow their form of religion. Say: The Guidance of Allah is the (only) Guidance." Surah Al-Baqarah, (2:120)

12. The above is a warning and reminder from Allah. He knows exactly why should we not follow them. He has full knowledge of their agenda and His orders are ones that protect us. Even our Prophet Muhammad SAW firmly expressed his concern about this when he said that those who copy what others do in their religion, they are actually a part of them (in their religion). Should we bow to their religion, we automatically deny Allah's oneness and because of that, it is the Hell fire that awaits us, nauzubillahi min zalik.

13. The V-Day is not our way, as simple as that. So, let's abandon it now, even if many of our friends don't. Remember, we don't do things because many people do it, but we do it because it is the right (and permissible) thing to do. We have our own way and Islam teaches us all about them.

"Were you to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead you away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture; they do nothing but lie." Surah Al-An'am, (6: 116)

14. Allah explicitly reminds us in the above verse not to follow the majority only because it is majority. We are given thoughts and wisdom so we must use them to see the truth. We are weak, so we need guidance. A divine guidance surely does not come from mankind. We can't live with conjecture alone. Our way of life is one that is in line with our primordial nature (fitrah) and the only religion or way of life that in its entirety suits the norm of a life of mankind is no other but Islam. Why? Because Islam comes from Allah, and it's Him whom creates us and our fitrah.

The bigger picture and essence of Valentine's Day.

15. In the Western world, people long for this day as much as they long for free sex. It (the day) is like a switch that triggers a strong desire to commit such practice that is humiliating and embarrassing not only in Islam, but also in Eastern culture in general, which highly appreciates someone's dignity and pride especially women.

16. The essence of this festival is that you can do what ever you want with someone that you love, even if you don't marry her. As though love permits everything. It promotes the destruction of our society in many ways because ultimately, it encourages the act of intimacy between unmarried couples.

17. For one thing, it increases divorce. I am not kidding. If you want facts, here I present them to you. And please be aware that these facts are not taken from Islamic authorities (though of course they have facts too), but just so that you can already rule out bias, the following facts are taken from several researches conducted overseas by independent bodies and parties.

18. A study from the University of Denver, found that couples who lived together before marrying reported lower marriage satisfaction. It further exposed that there is evidence about the fact that cohabiting is associated with lower marital quality and higher divorce potential. Surprisingly, it also confirms that people cohabit because they want to test their relationship, so without marriage, they can easily 'let go' if they are not satisfied with their partner (through sexual relationship). The study finally concludes that cohabiting is the biggest problem in relationship.

19. In addition to that, let us ponder on the following report by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development whereby it says, "Cohabitation, once rare, is now the norm: The researchers found that more than half (54 %) of all first marriages between 1990 and 1994 began with unmarried cohabitation. They estimate that a majority of young men and women of marriageable age today will spend some time in a cohabiting relationship. ... Cohabiting relationships are less stable than marriage and that instability is increasing, the study found."

20. From Islamic perspective, what the above transpires is simple; that if you love someone, then go for marriage. The longer you stay in an outside marriage relationship, you either will fall into cohabiting, or you risk an unstable relationship, be it before or after marriage.

21. If I put it in a more casual way, I'd say who are you to stop your girlfriend or boyfriend from falling in love and go to another person when you have no proof at all (through marriage) that he or she is yours? Is this not a common sense?

22. Let us not dwell on another issue that follows this, namely baby dumping, for instance as it is now crystal clear that the impact of treating love in a wrong way by blindly celebrating V-Day is huge and it creates vicious cycle. How do we define love when innocent babies are being cruelly murdered anyway? No, stop giving excuses. What's the big deal if we don't have the V-Day, can you tell?

Conclusion

23. Therefore, I hereby would like to invite all of us to go back to Islam and be careful with the world around us. We always follow things blindly, become excited to copy the so-called latest social trend, and live a deviated life, sometimes without us knowing. So now because we already know, we shall grasp the knowledge fully and pray a lot to Him, Allah the Almighty God so that He leads us to the right path insya Allah.

"And pursue not that of which you have no knowledge, for every act of hearing, or of seeing or of (feeling in) the heart will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning)." Surah Al-Isra', (17:36)

May Allah bless us all insya Allah. Wallahu'aklam.

The Heart

"Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate now after You have guided us, but grant mercy from Your own Presence; for You are the Grantor of bounties without measure." (3:8-9)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

1. Some time ago, I posted on my Facebook wall this meaningful phrase that says, "The sign of kafir (unbeliever) is that he is lost in horizons. The sign of Mu'min (believer) is that horizons are lost in him."

2. From the book which I took the phrase, there is no direct interpretation nor explanation about it, but considering the whole context of the writing in the book, I have full conviction that it has much relation with what I am going to elaborate in this article.

3. In medicine, heart refers to one of the vital organs and it functions to pump blood to all parts of the body. However I do not intend to talk about this physical heart, but about the other heart which Al-Quran refers to as Qalb, Fu'ad or Sodr.

4. Let us recall one well-known hadith about heart that says,"Beware. There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that (the flesh ) is the heart." As narrated by An-Numan bin Basyir from Sahih Bukhari.

5. Previously, in my articles about dajjal and feminist revolution, I have stressed on the importance of looking for light (guidance) from Allah as only with it that we can see with another eyes, that belong to our heart. Malay people put it as mata hati, which means the eyes (vision) of the heart.

6. One simple example of the exclusive advantage to see with heart is demonstrated in one of the hadiths by Rasulullah SAW which describes that dajjal has the word kafr (unbelievers) on his forehead which, as stated in the hadith, even the illiterates can read (so long that he is a muslim) while the unbelievers can't.

7. What it suggests is that people with faith and knowledge can see what others can not see, because they live their life with Al-Quran, which explains everything inside. "And We have sent down to you the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy and Glad Tidings to Muslims." (An-Nahl, 16:89)

8.   If someone is super extremely nice, we call them angels. But do we know that mankind are created by Allah as the best of creations? Yes, by status, we (mankind) are even more superior than the angels, moulded by Allah in best form. Allah confirms this in Surah At-Tin (95:4), "And We have indeed created man in the best of mould."

9. In sequence to that however, in verse number 5, Allah poses to us with something opposite when He says, "Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low," which in fact, not only makes us lower than the angels, but also indicates that the beast are even better. We are now at the bottom, the worst.

10. But there is exception, which Allah describes in the later verse number 6 that reads, "Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: for they shall have a reward unfailing."

11.  Having mentioned the above, we shall now understand that only with intellect that comes from a pure heart, we will be led to a path that is in accordance with Al-Quran. And it is this pure and guided heart that controls us to be inclined to the righteousness instead of sins.

12. We have to understand that Allah grants us choices and free will when He gives us wisdom or the aql. Animals, like us, do have brain too, but they don't have the aql or wisdom, so they only do what they are created to do. They eat, they breed, and they sleep, amongst other things, which are also what we do, but we can always choose not to, and therefore find ways not to, because Allah gives us the wisdom.

13. It is with this wisdom as an advantage that Allah gives to us that makes us the best creation to be His vicegerent on earth. He clearly said this in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:30), "Behold, our Lord said to the angels: I will create a vicegerent on earth."

14. The conversation that follows between Allah and the angels in the same surah proves to us that with Allah's permission, and because Allah teaches Adam (and us), we mankind know what even the angels don't know. Ultimately, it indicates Allah's absolute power over everything. In a way, why don't we thank Him for such a great status that He gives to us?

15. My intention for this article is so that we know how Islam is a way of life that suits us in all aspects, and only by following what Islam teaches us, we preserve our norm and primordial nature (fitrah), and therefore prosper in life now and in the Hereafter.

16. Automatically, going against Islam is going against ourselves (primordial nature) which leads us to nothing but disaster. Disobeying Allah adds more disease into the heart and eventually, invites His Wrath and punishment in Hell fire, may Allah protect us from that.

17. "In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: and grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves)." Surah Al-Baqarah, (2:10)

18. I'd like to end this article with 3 powerful prayers that hopefully insya Allah will help us prosper in what ever things we do in life and so that He helps keep our hearts strong to be faithful towards Him, even if we have to die to protect our faith and dependance we put upon Him insya Allah. My prayers that they benefit us all. Ameen~

19. The first 2 can be found in the Quran as follows (translation):

a) O my Rabb! Expand me my breast. Ease my task for me, and remove the impediment from my speech, so they may understand what I say. (20:25-28)

b) O my Rabb! Bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous, grant me honorable mention on the tongue of the truth among the latest (generations), make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss." (26:83-84)

c) O Allah! The Turner of the hearts, keep our hearts firm on Your deen. (Sahih Muslim)
Ya Muqallibal Qulub, tsabbit qalbi  'alaa diinik
 20. The third du'a (prayer) above is of special importance to me, as it strongly reminds myself that no matter who we are or how much knowledge we have in Islam, no one can ever escape from misguidance except with the permission of Allah. So, I recommend we read this prayer everytime after solah (solat) insya Allah.

21. May Allah bless us all, He knows best, no doubt, absolutely ;-)

P/S: Was thinking to write about 'The Heart' because I just finished my CVS. Next is Respiratory System. Here I come Sem. three! =P

Dajjal The Anti Christ

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

I always thought that it was easy to maintain my blog's KPI i.e to post at least 4 entries per month, but no, it's not easy. Nevertheless, to end this month of January, I am now authoring the fourth one here. As a continuity to the previous one entitled feminist revolution, this post will be about Dajjal The Anti Christ. However, it can't be perfectly comprehensive as this subject is only one of the very broad ones- so I am only providing an insight into it, at least from one angle. Open your mind and enjoy reading ;-)

Dajjal The Anti Christ (Part 1)

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

1. Allah says in the Quran, Surah An-Nahlu, (16:89) that, ".....We have sent down to you the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy and Glad Tidings to Muslims."

2. We Muslims believe in 2 primary sources of reference namely the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah (Hadith). They are Allah's mercy that help us understand Him, ourselves and every other thing including many strange events that are continuously unfolding in this world that we live in today.

3. To begin with, let us briefly go through a famous description of Dajjal according to our beloved Prophet, Muhammad S.A.W when he mentioned, that Dajjal The Anti Christ is blind in his right eye. On his forehead is written the word 'Kafir' which means the disbeliever. It is only the true Mu'min (The believers) whom can read and recognise the word.

4. It is therefore again important to take note that the blind eye refers to the internal eye- so Dajjal only sees with his left eye, the external eye instead. The believers, on the other hand, are able to see with their internal eyes, the eyes of the heart, which can only see when there is light (guidance) from Allah, as stated in the Quran.

5. Hence, please bear in mind that when we discuss about the subject of Dajjal, it can never be separated from religious symbolism, which therefore requires interpretation- Interpretations from the people whose hearts can see because their hearts are entered by light (Nur) from Allah insya Allah.

6. The story starts here today. A divine promise was communicated to the Israelite people that Allah will send a prophet to them, whose name is Al-Masih (Messiah) and he will rule the world with justice. This divine promise was also confirmed by Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.

7. The Al-Masih must rule the world from Jerusalem. However, at that time, the Israelites were at Babylon and the Holy Land of Jerusalem was occupied. So, whoever is the prophet and the Al-Masih must liberate the Holy Land first before he rules the world from there. Dajjal the impostor took this chance (to impersonate the true Messiah) and  planned the following:

                     1) Liberate the Holy Land (from the Ottoman Islamic Empire)
                     2) Bring back the Jews to the Holy Land and claim it as theirs
                     3) Establish the State of Israel
                     4) Become the ruling state of the world

8. Jesus (Prophet Isa a.s), the son of Mary (Maryam) was rejected as their prophet at the time he was sent by Allah due to several false beliefs held by the Jews. First, they accused that Jesus was a bastard as he had no father. No one knew the truth until 600 years later when Al-Quran was revealed and explains the chastity of Mary. They were also deceived by the misleading crucifixion of Jesus although once again Al-Quran answers this by confirming that Jesus was not murdered, but he was raised by Allah instead. Because the Jews believed that Jesus was dead and never ruled the world, he couldn't be the prophet.

9. So the story continues until our time now, that the Jews are still waiting for the promised prophet, and Dajjal will successfully deceive mankind and the Jews by claiming that he is the Messiah and impersonating the true Al-Masih. The first 3 events listed above had already taken place. We are indeed in the final phase of the Dajjal's mission until one day, he achieves the fourth one and declares that he is the Messiah.

10. Let us now get more serious and factual about events after events that have taken place in recent years.

But before that, Rasulullah S.A.W once in his lifetime had suspected that a Jewish boy in Medina (Madinah) was Dajjal. So he, accompanied by his companion Umar r.a went to see the boy to ask him about it. However, the boy's answer was very disrespectful. Umar was very angry at him and asked for Rasulullah's permission to cut off his head. But prophet Muhammad refused and said to Umar, that if the boy is the dajjal, Umar could not kill him, but if he is not the dajjal, then Umar will be sinful if he kills him.

11. The story above implies something very important- that implicitly, it suggests the possibility that Dajjal was released during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W because if he wasn't, Rasulullah S.A.W may not have the thought that any living being during his lifetime could be the Dajjal.

12. Here's another very interesting hadith from Sahih Muslim. It was reported that a Christian man whom turned Muslim once came to see Rasulullah S.A.W and narrated to him his story. The name of this man was Tamim Dari.

13. He narrated that one day, when he was sailing with 30 people, his ship was tossed by the ocean until they finally landed on an island where they saw a beast by the name Al-Jassasa. This beast told them that somebody wanted to see them at the monastery on the island, so Tamim Dari and others went to see the man, who was actually the Dajjal.

14. It was reported that the dajjal was a well-built person with his hands tied to his neck and having iron shackles between his two legs up to the ankles. A conversation then took place between them. Among all, the Dajjal told them that he will soon be permitted to get out and by then, he will travel in the land and will not spare any town where he would stay for 40 nights except Mecca (Mekah) and Medina (Madinah).

15. This is because both Mecca and Medina are prohibited for him. There will be an angel with sword in his hands to bar him from entering these 2 places.

16. Again, this is another sahih hadith that confirms the existence of Dajjal as early as during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. One intriguing question however arises, if Tamim Dari has met dajjal at an island, what and where is that island today? Keep reading for the answer.

17. According to Maulana Sheikh Imran Nazar Hosein, dajjal will be released at that island and will launch his mission from there. Therefore, to find out where the island is, we must understand the mission of dajjal and see where it all started.

18. Consider this other hadith, also from Sahih Muslim- it says that when the Anti Christ is released, he will live on earth for 40 days. 1 day is like a year. 1 day is like a month. 1 day is like a week. And all his days (the rest) will be like our days.

19. When his day is like our day, he is in our dimension of time, and that means at that moment we can see him. The first day of dajjal which is like a year is the longest phase, followed by the second like a month and the third like a week before dajjal enters into our dimension of time. The period may not be exactly one year or one month or one week, but mere a relative comparison to suggest that the first is the longest and the last is shorter, but truly Allah always knows best.

20. We have to understand the significance of this hadith to see how it represents the history of the world we are living in today and therefore get to the answer we are looking for about the island just now. Do you remember that dajjal will launch his mission from the island? And that the first mission is to liberate the Holy Land? So what is the island? Again according to Maulana Imran, the island is what we all know today as Britain! But why? Because history perfectly fits in when it comes to a place where all strange events occurred and were initiated.

Dajjal The Anti Christ (Part 2)

21. Let us now study history. First, go make some tea or coffee ;-)

22. When dajjal was released, he was at that island and launched his mission from there. And as we already accept that Britain is the island, we shall now see how has Britain paved the way towards the completion of the first 3 events aforementioned above.

23. Liberation of the Holy Land, Jerusalem (Palestine): As I study this topic, my interest in world history immensely grows, knowing that many events that took place were actually not co-incidence, but according to 'plan'! Truly, there is a hidden hand that shapes the history of the world we are living in today (by permission of Allah of course).

24. Let us recall the summer of 1914, when at that time, they were 6 major powers on earth namely the Britain, France, Russia, Germany and Austria-Hungary. Those are only 5 aren't they? What's the sixth then? Don't be surprised, we were deliberately made blind! I can't recall studying this during my secondary school but the sixth was the Ottoman Islamic Empire! It's important to know this because the Holy Land up to that year was under the control of the Ottoman Islamic Empire.

25. In this particular year, 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir apparent to the Austrio-Hungarian throne was assassinated in Sarajevo. It was made as if Russia was behind this assassination (just like September 11 was plotted as if it was the work of the Muslim Arabs) and because of that, Austria-Hungary declared a war with Russia, and the World War I then began.

26. Britain joined the war in defence of Russia while Germany favoured Austria-Hungary. Ottoman Islamic Empire was forced to be on the side of Germany. Now the big war took place and guess what? Britain and allies were losing because Germany unveiled a new weapon at that time namely the submarine. As Britain was about to face her defeat, it was the German Jews who came to see the British Government and made a deal.

27. The Jews promised to bring United Stated into the war on the side of Britain provided that if they won the battle, they (the Jews) wanted the Holy Land to be theirs. So Britain agreed, United State was brought in, and Britain won the war. In the process, the Ottoman Islamic Empire was dismembered, and the Holy Land was liberated to the Jews. Now, the first mission was accomplished. Thanks to Britain.

28. Next, bring back Jews to the Holy Land and claim it as theirs. In the period of 1918-1948, the Island of Britain ruled over Palestine through the mandate conferred by the League of Nations. Within this period, Britain opened the door for European Jews to return to the Holy Land. And Adolf Hitler then came into picture as an interlude. The Holocaust sped up the migration of the Jews as they were convinced that Jews were not safe unless they have their own homeland, which was why they all returned to Palestine to claim it as theirs. Again, what a beautiful story. Thanks to Britain, now the second mission was accomplished.

29. Establish the State of Israel: Before I continue, I hope you get the point we had discussed above- that every dajjal's mission was completed, one after another through this one island called Britain, the island where Tamim Dari met dajjal during the lifetime of Rasulullah S.A.W. Let me repeat again that when dajjal was released, he will launch his mission from the island.

30. In 1948, Britain has committed many strange things. Why? Because Britain is the prince of secular state. And being secular means that Britain would have taken religion out of politics- completely. But when British army liberated the Holy Land, their General proclaimed that Crusades are over! That was strange because Crusades belong to the Christians, but why now a secular state i.e Britain seemed to represent something religious i.e Crusades?

31. Also, earlier in 1917, Britain through the intention of her majesty government wanted to work for the establishment of a Jewish national home (state) in the Holy Land, one that we now know as Israel. And for this, they issued the Balfour Declaration. A secular state that favors an establishment of a religious state, how  does that not sound peculiar?

32. That's not all. Here's the strangest ever. It was again in 1948. Britain is well-known as a state with tremendous commitment to the rule of law. So, every time it decolonized a state, there would be a system of legal transfer of power. Even in our country Malaysia, we had one. At midnight of on August 30, 1957, amidst a crowd of tens of thousands, British soldiers finally lowered down the Union Jack for the last time in front of Selangor Club and independent Federation of Malaya was established.

33. This didn't happen to Israel though. In fact, Britain left like a thief in the dark. It was the first and the only time when there was no legal transfer of power from Britain to the successor state i.e Israel. Having said that, we now have completed the third mission and the Jews have restored their homeland, Israel.

34. I know, this of course leads us to the question of when will the fourth and last mission be accomplished and how would it take place. I can't give you the answer, and I believe no one can, but what is certain is that it will not be too long from now. Not too long can mean a few years, or even decades but again, Allah knows best.

35. But this article doesn't end here. Let me quote my another favourite hadith with regard to the subject of dajjal. Rasulullah S.A.W has narrated that dajjal will ride on a donkey which can travel as fast as clouds and it (the donkey) would have its ears stretched out wide. Religious symbolism, remember that. We must not take the description literally. By interpretation, the description given by Rasulullah above, refers to the modern aircraft we have nowadays, suggesting that it is the advancement in technology we should now focus on.

36. If we study the history of Britain, then we will realize that Britain for so long has led every single step in technological and scientific revolution we have nowadays. It was also reported that the earth will release its resources to the dajjal and we can see how crucial therefore Britain is in the making of our modern world today. Factual records are never a co-incidence, but they are possible only because it is the work of dajjal.

37. It was not easy to explain how, a little obscure island of the coast of Europe had once become the ruling state of the world, when this Island of Britain controlled and commanded every strategic naval ports in the whole world. But it is now comprehensible, knowing that again it was the work of the dajjal.

Dajjal The Anti Christ (Part 3)

38. This is the final part of the article. Our Prophet S.A.W once also narrated that the last people to come out to dajjal will be woman. A man has to return home to tie down their sisters and daughters to protect and preserve them from dajjal.

39. This hadith indicates that when dajjal's mission is reaching its climax, the world of women will be challenged by the great deception of dajjal the Anti Christ. This is what we now know as the feminist revolution and the struggle for women liberation and no one can deny that this is also taking place in our community and all around the world these days.

40. I remember a statement I heard from my TV at home about how people especially women themselves now work on the women's financial independence.  It is a good thing of course. But it is destructive when people take away Islam from their life. Ultimately, I see this as an effort to favor the competition between men and women which will certainly promote further complications in our already broken social structure nowadays and I have no doubt that many of these efforts have further worsened even the marriage structure of our society, not only in Malaysia but also all around the world.

41. I may not have the statistics now but I dare to say that many and more modern women are not getting married these days because they no longer need men and they are very financially stable, some even more financially strong than men themselves! No doubt that women in a way may have lost trust in men, and that can be another factor. But the trust is mainly broken because men and women do not play their roles as men and women because they forget that they are functionally different! I have elaborated at length about this subject in my previous entry entitled the feminist revolution here.

42. As we talk about dajjal and his enormous influence to this world, we can never leave the issue of money especially about riba (usury). It is the age of riba that creates the world to be what it is today (hardcore poverty and destitution), and it is riba that dajjal uses as weapon not only to victimise mankind, but also to successfully create dependence upon materials (a materialistic world) even amongst the Muslims!

43. However, it will take another lengthy article to further discuss about the subject of money and riba alone, which is the reason why I am now working on some amateur studies and research as an alternative so that I can deliver a talk at IMU in this topic perhaps in the next few months, and insya Allah will also provide the script, if not article here on my blog. Please pray that Allah will ease my way and help me go on with this mission I have always longed for.

44. Let's get back to this very briefly though. The age of riba was again initiated by Britain through its Bank of England which was established at the end of the 17th century. They were the one that began using paper money and also spearheaded the use of it, and became the money lender of the world. It is as simple as lending money on interest, and they benefit a lot from this practice of riba and not to forget, this is again the work of dajjal. All of these will eventually pave the way for dajjal to one day declare to the whole world that he is the Al-Masih and demand loyalty.

45. It is important to mention here that when the Britain was the ruling state of the world, it was the time when dajjal's one day is like a year. But now, we are at a time when a day is like a month, a period of time when United States of America is the ruling state of the world instead, not Britain anymore, and a time when American Dollar had replaced the Pound Sterling as the international currency. Interestingly enough though, the whole world is now witnessing that the current international monetary system, featuring mainly the American Dollar, is about to collapse. And when it collapses, it will bring the United States together with it- and that's the end of this period of a day which is like a month, and therefore a beginning of a period when a day is like a week.

46. We can now see how United States through the United Nations as a puppet has been mysteriously protecting Israel from any threats around the world. At the same time, United States was the first country that acknowledged Israel as a legal state. United States has also waged war against Afghanistan, Iraq and many more, just so that they can clear all the threats to Israel until one day, Israel becomes the ruling state of the world. They are working to conquer the Suez Canal and to take control of the oil of the Gulf- which will happen soon and therefore fulfil the prophecy. By then, the last mission of dajjal will be almost fully accomplished.

47. It is during this period, when a day is like a week (which means a shorter period), that Israel as the ruling state of the world will freely wage war on Islam. I now personally understand, why the kalimah (word) Lailahaillallah (there is no God but Allah) is of utmost importance because it will be during this period that we may choose to live and worship the dajjal or die in the path of Allah, submitting that He is the only God, no one but Him and only Him. Subhanallah..

48. And it is also during this time, that dajjal will take control of the ruling state and rule the world from Jerusalem (just like Bush ruled over the world from Washington) and then declared that he is the Messiah. At that time, the Jews will then accept him as the Al-Masih and dajjal has now fully completed his mission.

49. Only by then, Jesus the son of Mary will come down to earth and he will kill the dajjal. Then Allah will destroy the Gog and Magog (Ya'jud and Ma'jud).

50. To end this article, let us ponder this hadith by our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W that he said, when you see the black flag coming from the direction of Khurasan (Afghanistan is part of Khurasan), go and join that army even if you have to crawl over ice, because there is no one can stop that army until they reach Jerusalem.

51. This is when Prophet Muhammad S.A.W assured us that Islam will finally become victorious and liberate the Holy Land from the Jews. The Holy Land then will be an Islamic State and Jesus will rule the world from there with a rule that is eternal and a rule that is based on the true religion of Abraham (Prophet Ibrahim a.s), a religion which was brought and communicated by our beloved Muhammad S.A.W, the final messenger of Allah.

Conclusion

I hope that this very long article inspire us not only to fear Allah more and have stronger faith in him, but also so that we are prepared to face today and the future. It is therefore our responsibility to spread the message and teach people around us and assure them that one day, Islam will prevail, but only those who are strong at heart and ready to preserve Islam as their only true religion will be saved from dajjal and therefore die as a mujahidin in the path of Allah or live in the Islamic state under the rule of Jesus a.s with a rule that has justice, like none other before, insya Allah.

What next then?
In Islam, to protect ourselves from being led astray by dajjal, and also so that we are granted nur (light) by Allah S.W.T insya Allah, we are encouraged to recite Surah Al-Kahf, chapter 18 of the Quran every Friday. If not the whole surah, then recite the first and the last 10 verses from this surah.

Insya Allah, my prayers, may Allah bless us all. Allow me to end this part by quoting these few verses from Al-Quran, Surah At-Tariq, Chapter 86:

"As for them, they are but plotting a scheme. And I am planning a scheme. Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: give respite to them gently (for a while)." (86:15-17)

Wallahua'lam wassalamualaikum w.b.t

P/S: Pardon me as this should be posted yesterday, the last day of January but I am 1 day late because my laptop crashed. Jazakumullah ;-)
